Christmas Time Fun

Our family welcomed a new Christmas tradition this year with our own Elf on the Shelf. We all had to think of what we would like to name him and voted on whose name was the best. We all agreed that Alex came up with the best which was Jolly. As the story goes, every night he will fly to the North Pole and report the kids daily behavior directly to Santa. When he returns he will be in a different spot and the kids will make a game of being the first to find him. They are not allowed to touch him or his magic will disappear and Jolly won't be able to tell Santa if they have been naughty or nice.

R.I.P. iPod

You gave your life to save mine.
On our way to Vegas for Thanksgiving, we got into an accident just past Hoover Dam on the Nevada side. It was raining and when I went around a curve the van, yes the douche bag mobile, hydro-planed and did a 180 into on coming traffic and we collided into a Jeep Liberty. Everything was totally in slow motion just like the movies and then BAM! Only my door got hit and I believe that my iPod saved my life. It was wedged between the drivers smashed in door and the seat. Luckily we all walked away fine just a bit shocked and so did everyone in the other car. I did manage to find my iPod and got it out and when I turned it on it had little xs for eyes.

Brenda is an ass!

So I don't have any pics to post but since Brenda won't leave me alone about not updating I will tell a story.
Yesterday we had all the windows and doors open and a horse fly got in. I was trying to kill it and Morgan did NOT want me to because they are "cute". So I explained to her that they are gross and that horse flies bite. Without hesitation she said "They can't bite, they don't have any teeth." I asked her how she knew that but she just answered "bcause". I died laughing and killed it anyway before it bit me.

1. Started working at the airport in LAS.
2. Moved out of my parents house with my boyfriend.
3. Bought my Neon all by myself.

5 Years Ago....
1. I was a customer service supervisor.
2. Waiting for Erich to ask me to marry him after 3 1/2 years.
3. Did whatever I wanted.

3 Years Ago....
1. I just had Morgan.
2. Hated to have to go back to work.
3. Erich got a great job with Ecolab.

1 Year Ago....
1. We got sole custody of Alex and Nick.
2. Moved to Kingman, AZ.
3. Lived with Candice & Jack.

So far this year....
1. Finally sold our house in Vegas.
2. Moved out of Candice & Jack's.
3. Morgan started her first year of preschool.

Yesterday I.....
1. Went to the park.
2. Finished Candice's & my Madmen marathon.
3. Had Erich hang the selves in Alex & Nick's room.

Today I.....
1. Watched a Trading Spouses marathon on VH1.
2. Cuddled with Coco.
3. BBQed some hamburgers & hotdogs.

In the next year I'll.....
1. Have lost some weight ;)
2. Scrapbook some stuff
3. Take a nice family vacation.

R.I.P Guapo Vaughn Schueler

At Morgan's birthday party Feita & Charlie got it on and on August 27 she had her babies. I was kind of freaking out because I knew I would have to help her break the sacks so Candice came to help me. It wasn't that bad until the first one came out and his intestines were hanging out. It was super sad to see. Candice called a vet and they said he probaly wouldn't make it. Then Feita started again and out came the second one. She was super cute and everything was just fine with her. While she was being delivered the previews for the Coco Chanel movie kept coming on so that is what Candice decided her name should be and it just fits her.
Morgan and Nick LOVE her and Nick is very upset we are not keeping her so I bought him a fish.
I will spare all the gross pics, but here are a few.

First day of school!

So Morgan started preschool on Monday and it was an adventure to say the least. She was really excited whenever we talked about it and even when we went to meet your teacher night. She was even excited on our way out the door especially since she FINALLY got to use her new Dora backpack. Then she found out I wasn't staying with her and she broke down. I tried everything to comfort her, but she just wanted to go home. After about 15 minutes her teacher Ms. Marci took her and I left. I felt bad, but I know it is for her best interests. When I picked her up she was so glad to see me she got out of the circle and gave me a hug and we stopped and bought bubble gum on our way home. We will see how week 2 goes.

Movie in the park

The awesome thing about living in a small town is they do alot of community things like movie night in the park. This is the first one we went to and it was so fun and best of all it's free. We had a picnic provided by the Weidner's and we brought sleeping bags to lay out and watched The Spiderwick Chronicals. We took Declan with us because his mom was sick.

Sleep over

So Christina came with my mom from Las Vegas to stay the night. Her and Morgan had so much fun they crashed out hard and actually slept ALL night on the air mattress. Sleep overs are so much fun!

We celebrated Morgan's third birthday on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at our house. It was the first birthday she had friends at, not just family. I kept it simple by buying the cake and having minimal decorations. Instead of goody bags I had the kids do their hand prints in clay (which I still need to paint and give to them). She was MUCH happier this year and didn't even try to take a nap. Erich & I gave her a Dora scooter on her actual birthday June 26. She got great gifts and lots of super cute clothes that she loves. She is such a girly girl.

Swim class

After going everyday (except the last two) for two weeks swim class is finally over. Nick loved it and learned alot from it, but Morgan not so much. Class was only half an hour and after 20 minutes she was done and hated doing the interactive songs. I am glad they got the to do it but am so relieved it is over.

Like the new layout?

Since I am a tard, Shanell was nice enough to make me a super awesome custom layout if I promised to update at least once a week. Since it looks so great I will. Plus I put some great songs on my player to make it even better.

Father's Day Gifts

This year for Father's Day Tammy, Merilee & I had the kids make stepping stones for their dads. They were very creative and were so proud to give them to their dads. Homemade gifts are the best!

By popular demand (Brenda & Shanell) I am updating my blog. I finally decorated Morgan's bedroom after only 2 1/2 months living here. Here are some pics. Keep in mind I am not completely finished, I still have to get a headboard and a night stand.

My next project will be decorating Alex & Nick's room. I am trying not to make this just about Morgan, but about the whole family.

"Myself"

So while we were unpacking Morgan discovered a pair of scissors and decided to give herself a new haircut. I was unpacking in my closet and Nick came in to tell me what she was doing. All I could do was laugh and get the camera. "Mom, I cut my hair myself." I refuse to "fix" it since I remember the horror when I was her age and did the same thing and my mom tried to "fix" it and I ended up with a mullet for the next 10 years!

Our new house

So after almost a year on the market we sold our house in Vegas! Unfortunately we made NO money off the sell and have to rent now. Even though we don't own it we still love it. Our neighbors are great and there is a community park down the street.

This blogging thing

Fine I give in! I will try this blogging thing, but I am not sure if I will like it. I do like to stalk and it just isn't as easy as on myspace or facebook. I guess only time will tell.
